I'M AN AUTHOR, TOO.

I've always been creating art but haven't always been writing. Looking for something creative to do after a day of painting, I thought I'd write a short story. Just like painting I lose myself in my work and become unaware of the passing of time. When I started to write I'd start writing at twilight and find the morning sun rising and I was still at it. I found writing was as enjoyable and stimulating as painting.
Thus far I've written 2 novels, 1 nonfiction political book, and 5 art books highlighting my art. Only two has been published: THE COMING: A MESSAGE WHOSE TIME HAS COME, and CHASING SATAN, CHASING LOVE, both available on Amazon. I had the others all printed but not published. I use the author pseudonym, J. G. Cragg, when writing novels.

The Coming: A Message Whose Time Has Come
A Contemporary Christian/Romance novel
Sam Sara, a societal reject, might be better suited flipping pizzas in the Bronx, rather than struggling in his dubious role as the world's delivered.
God's consecration of Sam hardly prepared him for the continual stream of blunders, rejections, and mishaps in his new life. His attempts to pass on God's new message lands his pride in the trash, his foot in his mouth, or his body in the slammer at every turn.
Anne, desperate and afraid, becomes Sam's disciple after he saves her from an abusive husband. During their travels, she become convinced that Sam is no ordinary man, and when they find the Broken Spoke Ranch, their lives change dramatically.
The Coming, is a contemporary metaphysical romance with an unconventional twist that
will keep your heart racing, your eyes moist, and your curiosity longing for more.

"I recently finished reading "The Coming" and was absolutely captivated. J.G. Cragg has an uncanny imagination and ability to draw the reader in to the profound experiences of his characters. I loved how "The Coming" helps us think deeper about our existence and the origins and meaning of the universe far beyond the official narratives. I highly recommend "The Coming" which will keep readers glued to the page anticipating more. I am more than excited to read the next novel from J.G. Cragg, a true renaissance man and multi-talented creative force."

"Dear J.G.,
Your novel The Coming reads like a contemporary parable, bold, unorthodox, and deeply human. Sam Sara’s journey as a reluctant vessel for divine truth, and Anne’s transformation through faith and courage, make for a powerful, character-driven narrative that feels especially timely for readers seeking spiritual purpose in a chaotic world." Michael A. Marvelous
"The Coming is a bold, genre-blending spiritual journey that challenges the conventional with humor, heart, and divine chaos. Sam Sara’s misfit messiah arc is compelling, raw, and refreshingly human, making the story not just redemptive but relatable. From Bronx backstreets to soul-shaking revelations, The Coming offers readers a reflection of faith and failure that feels timely, urgent, and deeply needed." Tiana M. White
"So, let me get this straight... You mastered the brush, then casually picked up the pen and wrote The Coming—a heart-thumping, eye-watering, divine mess of a love story featuring a Bronx-flavored Jesus proxy who couldn’t deliver a message if it was taped to a pizza box? I’m obsessed already. Sam Sara is giving spiritual awakening meets divine oopsie-daisy, and honestly, it’s refreshing to see a “messenger of God” who’s more likely to land in jail than heaven. And Anne? She’s got that gritty strength that readers fall for hard—especially once she trades fear for faith at the Broken Spoke Ranch. (Is that place on Airbnb yet or...?) You’ve created something both hilariously human and sneakily holy, and frankly, if this isn’t getting attention yet, it’s not because the book lacks depth or voice it’s because the internet can’t find its soul half the time." "Dear J.G., I recently had the opportunity to read The Coming: A Message Whose Time Has Come, and I must tell you, I was completely captivated. This is not just a novel; it’s a spiritual wake-up call wrapped in a deeply human, emotionally gripping journey. Sam Sara’s chaotic, flawed, and divinely orchestrated path speaks to something timeless, yet desperately needed right now. You’ve done something rare with this book: made the ineffable accessible. The way you interweave humor, heartbreak, spiritual insight, and prophetic urgency reminded me at times of The Shack, but with a rawer, more rebellious heartbeat. Sam's stumbles and his ultimate persistence echo the truth that being chosen doesn't mean being perfect. It means being willing, and you bring that lesson to life beautifully. Anne’s story arc, the symbolism of the Broken Spoke Ranch, the global undercurrents of awakening it all created a sense of momentum that felt both intimate and cosmic. And those quotes at the start of each chapter? Deeply moving. They framed the narrative with wisdom and reflection, and I found myself rereading several, just to let them sink in."

Hi J.G.,
Your message honestly made my day. Reading your background and how it all ties into The Coming gave me chills. Suddenly, the story feels even more alive. It’s wild how personal truth can slip between the lines of fiction, but that’s exactly what your writing does. Knowing that Wallace was drawn from your own life just adds another layer of meaning to it all. That connection to faith, nature, and the inner search for something real is the heartbeat I felt all through the book.
And I completely understand what you mean about the church and those unspoken passages. Sometimes truth hides in plain sight, right there in scripture, but the world gets too busy building walls to hear it. I love that The Coming challenges that noise. You didn’t just tell a story, you asked the question no one wants to face. Would we even recognize the truth if it stood right in front of us? That’s powerful.
I’m definitely going to grab Chasing Satan, Chasing Love next. If it carries even half the fire The Coming did, I’m in for something special. And yes, I’ll make sure to share my review on Amazon. A book that moves me like that deserves to be talked about.
By the way, I really hope The Coming has been doing well, not just in hearts but in sales too. A story with that kind of message deserves to reach far and wide, and you deserve to see the reward for pouring so much soul into it.
Thank you again for writing something that cuts through the noise. I can’t wait to dive into your next one. You’ve officially made me a fan for life.
Warmly,
Melissa M

CHASING SATAN, CHASING LOVE is now also PUBLISHED ON AMAZON. LOOK FOR IT!

J.G.’s second novel from his Sam Sara Series Comes:
Chasing Satan, Chasing Love, a love and discovery story about Ben, a 31yr old introvert living alone in Philadelphia, employed as an exterminator, a job he views with disdain. Socially withdrawn, he has never dated and is still a virgin. His very strict Catholic mother raised him, turning him against religion because of her extremism. As an adult, he becomes an atheist. Ben, however, is increasingly disturbed by the frequency of crime (evil) everywhere. When he discovers an Atheist group in Philly, he attends. At the meeting he's introduced to a lovely woman, Alex, also a non-believer. She captivates him, and for the first time in his life he longs to develop a relationship. Alex likes Ben, too, but her busy life cannot include dating. She has a small child and is attending university—coincidentally as an entomology major. Ben persists, and Alex finally agrees to attend a lecture by the anti-religious spiritual Master, Sam Sara, whose message focuses on truth over dogma, helping to bring spirituality into their lives. One day during a terrible snowstorm, a city snowplow struck Alex's car while she was on her way to class. I’m not going to spill the beans. If you want to find out what happened to Alex and Ben, you could treat yourself by reading the book. I assure you it is all quite amazing. This is a story of discovery, love, and new beginnings. It will bring a smile to your face while warming your heart. Although a metaphysical fictional romance, Sam is sure to impart a meaningful message to believers and non-believers, both. Enjoy.
